when the mayor of the city has carried his own
light through the market and to the manger where
he delivers a speech and with his traditional
closing words proclaims:

ist eröffnet"

"AND NOW I DECLARE THE AUGSBURG
CHRISTKINDLESMARKT OPEN!"
